Baron Edmond De Rothschild ′Rimapere′ Sauvignon Blanc 2021/22, Marlborough

You might not associate the Rothschild name with Marlborough. Instead, it rings a significant bell in Bordeaux where the family is synonymous with the finest châteaux and high prices. But Benjamin de Rothschild was so fond of Marlborough Sauvignon he wished to create his own. To make the best expression, he selected a single vineyard in the Rapaura commune. This area is cooler than much of the region. And this means this Sauvignon Blanc is remarkably fresh. Expect aromas of lemon, gooseberry and green tea and a long, smooth finish. Try it with grilled swordfish.
