Castello Romitorio ‘Romitòro’ 2020, Tuscany

Super Tuscans are a rite of passage for any Italian wine lover, and Castello Romitorio is one of the world’s most respected producers of the lauded style. This is an elegant, balanced blend of Syrah and Petit Verdot. The Syrah brings flavours of juicy black fruit, black pepper spice and hints of smoke while the Petit Verdot offers the structure of strong tannins and dark berry aromas. The 2019 vintage received no less than 93/100 points from leading wine writer James Suckling. Expect an abundance of juicy black fruit and sophisticated pepper spice. It’ll be fantastic alongside slow-roasted beef.
