Domaine Fouassier ′La Garenne′ Organic Sancerre 2019/20

The Fouassier family are part of the fabric of Sancerre. The winery is now with the tenth generation – and it’s one of the oldest in the region. Brothers Benoit and Paul have two goals: making the finest wine and leaving their vineyards in the best possible condition for the next generation. As a result, they create their Sancerre organically and biodynamically. All this attention to detail means this is incredibly well made. It’s an elegant wine with notes of green apple, creamy citrus and freshly cut grass. Try it with goat’s cheese and mushrooms.
