Fable Mountain ′The Raptor Post′ Red 2017, South Africa

In the rugged slopes of the Witzenberg Mountain range, you’ll find leopards hiding, jackal buzzards circling and baboons playing. You’ll also bump into Tremayne Smith, who produces excellent Rhône blends in the South African sun. This is a clear, bright red wine, with armas of plum, dried strawberry, black pepper and tobacco. Tim Atkin MW gave it 91 points.
