Hattingley Valley Classic Cuvée 2010, Hampshire

This fine English sparkling wine from a small vineyard near Alresford is a carefully selected blend of 90% Chardonnay, 5% Pinot Noir and 5% Pinot Meunier, partially fermented in old Burgundy barrels, settled in tanks before spending 36 months on lees in bottle. A refined and elegant sparkling wine with an abundance of classically toasty, biscuit-like notes and a backbone of incisive yet temperate citrus and white stone fruit. Enjoy with smoked salmon blinis and other delicately savoury canapes.
