Honey Drop Chardonnay 2021/22, South Africa

Honey Drop is an unapologetically big, bold and rich Chardonnay. It’s made about as close to the sea as you can get in Stellenbosch. Grapes here benefit from a luxuriously long ripening period, allowing complex flavours to develop slowly. They get to soak up the sun and be cooled by sea breezes. Most importantly, it brings plenty of flavour to your glass. Oak ageing brings heady flavours of cream, honey, butterscotch and brioche. Decadently rich, it’s fantastic with buttery roast chicken.
