The fifth-generation winemaker behind it creates it from Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes. And these varieties really excel in these volcanic soils at this high altitude. As a result, this is an elegant, light red wine, with notes of cherry and redcurrant. Think Nebbiolo meets Pinot Noir. Fantastic with pasta and Parmigiano Reggiano.
