Roberto Sarotto Barbaresco Riserva ′Currà′ 2016/17

Barbaresco is the less tannic sibling of Barolo. The wine here is also made from the Nebbiolo grape, but typically aged for a shorter period. The pioneering family behind Roberto Sarotto make it on a single vineyard called Currà. It’s complex, refined and smooth, with hints of roses, violet, plum, liquorice and chocolate. It was aged for two and a half years, so it’s a harmonious wine that compliments red meats excellently.
