Yalumba Cigar Cabernet Sauvignon 2017/18, Coonawarra

Coonawarra is home to some of Australia’s most famous vineyards – and world famous Cabernet Sauvignon. ‘The Cigar’ is no exception. It’s named after the unique shape of Coonawarra’s famous ‘terra rossa’ soils, and – quite rightly – is one of Yalumba’s most popular fine wines. It’s a rich and powerful red – expect bold notes of blackberry, strawberry, mocha and violets with soft, rounded tannins. Its velvety texture makes it a perfect partner for braised beef. The 2018 vintage was awarded gold at the 2022 Decanter World Wine Awards. Please be aware that this bottle may be closed with a cork or a screwcap, depending on the vintage.
